Crimea

Crimea is a peninsula in southern Ukraine on the northern coast of the Black Sea. The administrative centre is Simferopol city.
Crimea is located on the northern coast of the Black Sea and the western coast of the Sea of ​​Azov; the only land border is with the Kherson region of Ukraine in the north. Crimea is almost an island, which is connected to the continent only by the Perekop Isthmus, a strip of land about 5-7 kilometres wide.
Crimea is temporarily occupied by Russian troops.
