Purpose and Objectives of the Project

The purpose of the project is to create proper learning conditions for students by ensuring a comfortable indoor microclimate and adequate sanitary and hygienic conditions within the lyceum. This will significantly optimize the use of energy resources during the heating process and create favorable energy-efficient conditions that guarantee a healthy environment for children, their parents, and the community. The project also aims to foster the development of healthy individuals with strong values and knowledge about health and a healthy lifestyle, capable of self-assertion and self-realization.

Target Groups and Final Beneficiaries of the Project

The target groups of the project are the students and teaching staff of the school, technical personnel, and the parents of current and future students of this educational institution.

Description of the Problem Addressed by the Project

The Holovanivsk Lyceum named after T. H. Shevchenko is a key educational institution for 12 branches within the community and the largest educational facility in the Kirovohrad region, with more than 900 students.

Given its importance, measures to improve the building’s energy efficiency are essential to reduce heat loss and energy consumption. The capital renovation project includes the following works:

• Insulation of the building façade;
• Replacement of the existing roof and rafter system;
• Insulation of the attic floor;
• Installation of fencing around the existing ramp;
• Installation of paving around the building.

The project requires additional funding from the state and international donors, as the community’s own resources are insufficient for full implementation.
