Energy saving measures – Capital renovation of Troyandove local cultural center

The capital renovation of the Troyandove Local Cultural Center is a crucial project for the village of Troyandove, which has a population of 1,505, including children, young people, and working-age adults. Given the high cultural engagement of the village residents, renovating the local cultural center is essential to provide a suitable environment for nurturing creative talents in children and young people, as well as for organizing cultural events.

The building assessment revealed that its technical condition is classified as “unsatisfactory,” with an overall physical deterioration of 54.1%. While the building’s structural elements are still usable, they are in need of repair. The goal of the project is to transform the building into a high-tech, energy-efficient facility that fully supports the cultural life of the residents while meeting all requirements for a barrier-free and inclusive environment. After the capital renovation, significant energy savings are expected, resulting in lower budget expenditures for building maintenance.

The project will include several key improvements: roof repair, thermal insulation of the walls and basement for enhanced energy efficiency and comfort, and the installation of new concrete ceiling slabs to increase safety and structural support. Additionally, all utility systems, including water supply, sewage, and electricity, will be replaced to ensure reliable operation. The heating system will be upgraded, and ventilation will be installed to maintain an optimal indoor climate throughout the year in the cultural center.

The project will also involve upgrading the blind area to protect the building’s foundation from moisture and installing a lift for people with disabilities to ensure the center is accessible to everyone. Additionally, the stage will be enlarged to accommodate larger cultural events and performances. The implementation of this project will foster the cultural development of Troyandove village residents, provide a modern and comfortable environment for cultural events, and enhance the overall quality of life by addressing the community’s needs.
