Reconstruction of Part of the Building Complex of the Municipal Non-Commercial Enterprise “Novomyrhorod City Hospital”

Project Goal

To establish a modern medical and preventive care facility providing rehabilitation services, ensuring accessibility and improved conditions for the provision of medical assistance, reducing the distance between operational units, increasing energy efficiency, and ensuring access to alternative energy sources.

Description

The project provides for the reconstruction of the inpatient building, including:

• arrangement of the basement area to include:
  • a laundry room,
  • a kitchen unit,
  • a utility block;
• on the first floor — a reception department with intensive care wards;
• on the second floor — a gynecology department;
• on the third floor — a surgery and traumatology department with an operating unit (including gynecology and palliative care wards);
• on the fourth floor — a traumatology department and an operating unit.

Through replanning, a technological connection between the premises has been achieved. Elevator shafts have been restored to ensure vertical communication between floors.

According to the medical design task, the working project provides for:

• partial interior finishing of the existing premises of the 1st–4th floors and the basement;
• partial replanning and change of the functional purpose of premises on the 1st–4th floors and part of the basement;
• replacement of wooden window frames with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) ones, including restoration of internal and external slopes;
• replacement of internal and external door blocks;
• repair of porches, installation of ramps and canopies;
• replanning part of the basement and arranging auxiliary rooms, namely:
  • auxiliary room (kitchen unit);
  • auxiliary room (laundry room);
  • auxiliary room (utility block);
• thermal insulation of façades;
• roof insulation and replacement of the covering with a PVC membrane;
• installation of sanitary facilities and showers for people with limited mobility (PLM);
• modernization (replacement) of elevator shafts and elevators;
• installation of a hydraulic platform lift;
• modernization of technological equipment;
• arrangement of paving around the building.
