The ultimate goal: improving the quality of medical services
As a result of the accident that occurred on April 26, 1986 at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, more than 40,000 km2 of the territory of Ukraine was exposed to radiation contamination. The most affected region in Ukraine is the Zhytomyr region (29.8 thousand km2), almost half of its territory was exposed to radiation contamination.
The residents of the city of Zhytomyr and the Zhytomyr region still feel the consequences of the greatest man-made disaster of the 20th century: the incidence rate of malignant neoplasms in the region is 25% higher than in neighboring regions.
As of February 2023, the incidence rate of malignant neoplasms in the Zhytomyr Region is 292.1 cases per 100,000 population. Malignant neoplasms are the cause of mortality of 14% of the population of the Zhytomyr urban territorial community from the total mortality rate (the 3rd place in the list of causes).
In order to improve the quality of early diagnosis of oncological diseases, as well as to provide appropriate modern highly specialized medical care to the residents of the Zhytomyr urban territorial community and the Zhytomyr region, we offer the project “New construction of the medical and diagnostic building of the KP “Hospital No. 2 named after V.P. Pavlusenko” ZMR at the address: Zhytomyr, str. Romana Shukhevych, 2a” (including production of PCD)”.
