Construction of a regional solid waste landfill with an area of ​​60 hectares

The project envisages the construction and operation of a landfill for household waste, it provides for its equipping with systems for the protection of groundwater, extraction and neutralization of biogas and leachate, which minimizes its impact on the environment. the landfill is focused not only on minimizing its impact on the environment, but also on obtaining economic benefits through the use of the generated biogas and the use (or sale) of sorted secondary raw materials.

The construction of a regional solid waste landfill in accordance with the State Building Code V.2.4-2-2005 “Landfills for Solid Household Waste Basic Design Principles” in the area of the intersection of the M-07 and P-49 highways involves comprehensive solutions to the issue of solid waste management in the Korosten district. The construction and operation of the landfill involve equipping it with groundwater protection systems, extraction and disposal of biogas and leachate to minimize its environmental impact. The project also includes a sorting station for the extraction of secondary raw materials. Thus, the landfill is oriented not only towards minimizing its environmental impact but also towards gaining economic benefits through the utilization of biogas and the use (or sale) of sorted secondary raw materials.

The establishment of an enterprise is envisaged to jointly address the issue of household waste management in the Korosten district, including: the construction of a new solid waste landfill that will comply with all construction and environmental standards; organization of separate collection of solid household waste; elimination of spontaneous and unregulated dumpsites for transportation to the landfill for further sorting, processing, and disposal.
