Implementation of intensive technologies for growing nuts (hazelnuts and almonds)

The project is aimed at the development of the agricultural sector of the economy, in particular, nut farming (growing hazelnuts and almonds).

The essence of the technology is to plant the same number of seedlings on an area 10 times smaller than with traditional technology. Thanks to the high density of planting, a number of issues are solved: the land is used efficiently; costs for plant protection products, fertilizers, watering and mechanization of garden care, as well as for harvesting are reduced.  

The project is feasible given the fact that there are about 400 hectares of land on the territory of the community that can be used for planting gardens. There are also licensed seedling nurseries on the territory of the community, in particular, an almond nursery – the only one in Ukraine.
