Ownership right: communal Area: 300.0 ha (greenfield construction)
Final objective: creation of local power generating facilities
Zhytomyr has two reservoirs with a total area of more than 600 hectares. To meet the energy requirements of the water services company and to reduce water evaporation from the reservoir, the city is considering building a floating solar power plant with a capacity of 40.0 MW.
The current “green tariff” for solar energy in Ukraine is EUR 101.0/MWh (excluding VAT). The city is ready to buy electricity for its own needs at a rate of 125.0 EUR/MWh (excluding VAT).
