The aim of this project is to support post-war recovery by establishing the “Smart Hope” village, a solar power plant, and pilot “smart city” services in Uman. The project seeks to promote a new model of smart urban development across Ukraine, accelerating reconstruction efforts and contributing to the revival of the Ukrainian economy.
The project consists of three components: the Smart Hope Village, a solar power plant, and pilot smart city services.
1. Smart Hope Village
A modular development consisting of 16 residential, commercial, and administrative buildings, with a total area of 37,223 m² (accommodating 386 households).
Modular construction is an eco-friendly building method that can reduce construction time and costs, while also lowering carbon emissions.
2. Solar Power Plant
A solar photovoltaic installation covering an area of 161,200 m², with a generation capacity of 9.4 MW.
3. Pilot Smart City Services
- Smart Street Lighting
700 units installed along 18.47 km of roads. - Intelligent Video Surveillance
240 units, each covering a 400 m radius. - Integrated Management Center
Supports centralized management and communication via an integrated operations platform.
The city of Uman has allocated a land plot for project implementation: the site is located 2.5 km west of the city center and covers approximately 95 hectares.
